Return of the XFL?
Bring back the XFL…. I’ve been waiting for 18 years and counting, and during those years I would make small talk about it and how I enjoyed watching the game. I was hopeful for a 2002 season, but as we all know, it folded.
Welcome back XFL?

Hopefully, this about to change as there is talk and moves being made at this moment to get the league re-started.
There are a few things that I would suggest before getting the league going. Being a big fan of Gridiron football, I would love to see football year round. We would have the XFL season 1st, followed by College football and the grand finale of NFL football.
Starting the league in February is ok, but it is following the most exciting NFL football game of the year. My 1st suggestion would be March as it would allow the Super Bowl hanger over to pass. March would also be perfect as this is the month dedicated directly to it (the XFL). This more so plays into my plan to extend football year round. College starts in August ends around December, the NFL starts in September and ends in December as well ( not counting the playoffs, which extends to February)
I would love to see the XFL season extended. I'm speaking as a fan on this one. 14 games is reasonable and probably more ideal, but of course I want to go against the norm! So with that said, 18-20 season is what I'd be stoked for. This would truly extend the life of football.
Just think, from mid March, the season would start giving everyone time to come off the Superbowl and be fresh to watch for the XFL. Also, the season would end just in time for the college game to begin.
Example: March through June would be the regular season, (or a WEEK or two in July) then the playoffs start the middle of July. Afterwards, the MILLION DOLLAR GAME or new name for the championship (Million dollar has a nice catch to it in my eye) can start leaving more than enough time for them to end the season and allow College Football to hold down viewers along with the NFL...
If you're wandering, what about the pre-season or a pre-season, the question is “No” as far as having one... I've never been a fan of it. As a kid, I hated it because it didn't count and the starters rarely played. As I've gotten older, I don't want my stars hurt, and most importantly, I don't want to see anyone get hurt. What a horrible ordeal to take the field in a meaningless game and ruin your career, or for that matter, never have one.

When I first saw the league in 2001, I thought it was well put together considering it being their first season. For you that may not know, there were a lot of players that transitioned from the XFL to the NFL and had productive careers; Most notably Rod Smart AKA He Hate Me, Tommy Maddox and Mike Furrey (2006 NFC reception leader [98 total].

With that said, don’t sleep on the XFL and what they can bring. Please don't assume that it's a bunch of wrestlers out there, or the game isn't real.
There aren't too many people I know willing to take a beating or sacrifice lifelong injuries 10 plus games straight.
