Welcome readers.  This blog is about Smitty’s Sports Machine. Featured so far are Antwon Smitty Smith himself, Marlon Copeland and myself Simon Fennix (the tag alone). There is a fourth key member as well, Casz Clayton who is currently serving our country as speak. She'll definitely return to the group and give you some important information and great research about the topics at hand. 


Smitty has been at this for 20 plus years (5 professionally) and he is what I refer to as your sports outsider. He will let you know everything that's happening and everything that is about to happen.. He has the 411 in the sports world, and his knowledge, wisdom, and passion for sports is unmatched. If you want a guy who can deliver and back up everything with accurate facts, then look no further. Amongst us, his experience definitely stands out, and it stands strong, as he gives great directions and mentoring to us as a team. 



Marlon is your inside man. He can tell you everything from who’s the GM, to the next GM in line, if the president of a team is doing something he is not supposed to be doing and so on...
He has that inside scoop and his ear is always to the ground. His delivery is unquestionable and by far the best I've ever worked with. I will add that I think his theatre experience really stands out and helps polish and give the show great balance.


Casz while soft spoken, is fierce at heart. Her timing and delivery is great and when she rejoins us from duty, she’ll showcase those skills and you'll see it for yourself. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about reporting and commentating. Oh and most importantly I'll let you know now: “do not be fooled by her gender”, as I tell you 1st hand she can hold her own and she can direct the conversation/debate. Me personally, she’s second only to my favorite Jemelle Hill. 





Last and least, there’s ole Simon. While I like to think of myself  as the glue, I'm more of your mediator:  the one that will try to dissect and find reasoning behind all my cast mate's opinions when clashing or seeing different viewpoints on a subject...  
The middle man sort to speak, and definitely  representing  the everyday average guy.


What we bring to you is clear and unscripted information about what is going on in the sports world. We are passionate about what we do and most importantly we aim to please the fans. Always comment via social media and or email and let us know your suggestions for anything- future topics you’d like to here, your opinions, comments, etc! Remember, ANYTHING and let us know, as we aim to please the FANS!

Bring back the XFL…. I’ve been waiting for 18 years and counting, and during those years I would make small talk about it and how I enjoyed watching the game. I was hopeful for a 2002 season, but as we all know, it folded.  Welcome back XFL? There are a few things that I would suggest before getting the league going. Being a big fan of Gridiron football, I would love to see football year round. We would have the XFL season 1 st , followed by College football and the grand finale of NFL football. The Rundown: Unlucky Andrew, Do it Right Reich! Drexel showing hard work pays off.

sportingnews.com google search Has Andrew run out of Luck???? Andrew may have "Lucked" out. So far, the reports about his shoulder are up for debate.  He has declined a second surgery. (which in some personal ways I can understand that.) He sounds confident; however this is a tough journey.  He was certain about coming back last season, and we see how that went. I personally think Jacob Brissett can do a good job for them. I believe it’s his job to lose; thus meaning make or break for him. Dealing with shoulder injuries isn't a joke. I've personally dealt with two, and my experience with rehab is it only gets you back at 70%. My dexterity is nothing compared to what it once was.  With that said, Luck plays the most difficult position to play with a bum shoulder. It's always in the back of your head too as well - meaning will I be able to perform, how much pain will I be in, can I get the ball down field,  etc etc. I am positive in Jacob...

Wild Card Cap Off: Atlanta vs LA

ATLANTA FALCONS vs LOS ANGELES RAMS On Saturday, we wrapped up the 1 st segment of the wild card games with my hometown Falcons vs Rams game. I previously picked the Chiefs over the Titans and I lost; Closely/Barely, but as I always say, a loss is a loss. Of course without a doubt, I picked my hometown to take the W against a young and talented Rams team. The Rams had the 1 st turnover on special teams. The ball touched on of the Rams players and Atlanta recovered the ball. One thing that caught my attention was on second down in the red zone, I don't understand how Matt Ryan missed Julio Jones. I think you should have taken a chance at trying to force towards the sideline when Julio was running his route and I'm certain he could have made the grab and scored.
